A mile-high property of authenticity, ease & natural grace

THE LOWDOWN

BUILT IN 1928, HIGHCASTLE IS A HISTORIC PROPERTY SETTLED ONTO A HIGH GRANITE PLATEAU IN THE SAN JACINTO NATIONAL FOREST OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

At the center of this acreage sits a legendary residence once frequented by Hollywood's Golden Era stars. The storied hunting lodge – with Clark Gable

once in residence – today celebrates western beauty through its carefully restored buildings, its diverse collections of antique and vintage Western & Native American furnishings, textiles and art, and – at its core – its considerable offering

of nature’s rustic pleasures.

As a refined western retreat and treasured private family residence, HIGHCASTLE hosts a variety of cultural events. And, when used as an exceptional photo shoot location, the property's beauty, abundant natural resources and authentically-expressed sense of place is unparalleled.

The varied landscape of this region encompasses majestic peaks, crystal springs and desert plains that in the late1700’s were populated by the Native American Cahuilla. With its picturesque name, Highcastle has a clear view to Tahquitz Peak, dramatically deep canyons and a classic western landscape peppered with ancient Manzanita, Incense Cedar, American Black Oak and the magnificent Coulter and Ponderosa Pines.
